Our Hos is a British/ Dominican owned hos located in the heart of the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo on the stunning island of Dominican Republic.
We offer more than just accommodation, we deliver an experience. Only a couple of minutes' walk and you are at the famous Parque Colon, Plaza Espana, bars, clubs and restaurants that the Zona Colonial has to offer.
We are a fun, comfortable and safe place where you can meet other like minded travellers. The Dominican Republic has so much to offer, alot more than just beaches - although we have to say they are pretty awesome. Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or are here to explore the city, our tour desk can help you find what you are looking for.
We have spent the last year restoring an old colonial building in the heart of the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo.
Our aim is to create a haven for backpackers and travelers in the heart of the Caribbean: clean, safe and fun accommodation which won’t break the bank.
Our Hos offers mixed or all-female dormitory accommodation with shared bathrooms, as well as private ensuite rooms at great rates you will not find elsewhere in the capital.
Please note that we require a minimum 2 month commitment.

How we work
What do I get in return?
A chance to live and work in the sun! What more would you want? We offer you food and accommodation in return for your hard work. You will have 2 days off in a row so you can go exploring around the Island. All you need is to pay for you ticket, health insurance and bring some pocket money.
Do I need to Speak Spanish?
We would prefer you to know some basic Spanish, however if you are prepared to learn and have a great personality then it is no problem.
How long can I volunteer for?
Please note that we require a minimum 2 month commitment.
