I am a traveller – how does it work for me?
Working Traveller is designed for the Gap Year travellers who wants to work as they travel. If you’re on the road for just two months of more than two years – and you want to find either volunteer, cultural exchange ( a free bed and food) or paid work – Working Traveller is for you. For details on how it works for a travellers see the TRAVELLER pages here.
I am a small business (a host) and need helpers
Working Traveller is similar to other volunteer / cultural exchange services, but we are different in the fact that there are no fixed “ five hours work a day for a bed, bread and beer, or is wine, or… should it be 4 hours”.
With Working Traveller, like you do in the real world when you work with someone, depending on your needs and the level of skill you need, depends on the reward. So yes, maybe most of the Working Travellers that will stay with you will be working for a bed and food, but now highly skills tradespeople and talented artists etc, highly skilled people can now also come and stay with you and bring with them the skills you need and the knowledge you don’t have.
To see how Working Traveller works for hosts have a look a the HOST pages and discover how you can get help with your harvesting or peak season work to building a hole house for you or … what ever it is you need. You will find someone who has those skills and is a traveller and wants more than nothing that to come and work with you at the same time as visiting your part of the world.
