My skills
I have worked in both the hospitality and service industry, and have also worked with several writing, marketing, and communications companies. I also have a great deal of experience participating in nonprofit and service work. This has included working with animals, children, and adults, in a variety of mediums. I am comfortable almost anywhere and willing to try anything new!

English (Mother Tongue) French (Medium)Full CV / Resume
My main goals are to learn about and gain experience in any and all types of writing, and to travel in order to understand many different cultures and to gain valuable life experiences. I am a junior and Writing/Sociology double major at Loyola University Maryland in the United States, but am currently studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa at the University of Cape Town. I plan to eventually pursue a career in magazine journalism if possible, and to further my education in graduate school. Before that time, however, I would like to spent at least one year abroad teaching English, I would like to volunteer with one or more nonprofit organisations that work with either children or animals, and I would like to live in several different countries. My skills include creative and professional writing, pet sitting and care, volunteer work with children, adults, and animals, education and tutoring students from a range of skills, including students with learning disabilities, and the maintenance and safety of pool/pool facilities. I am proficient in both English and French, but am interested in learning several more languages, including but not limited to, Spanish, Portuguese, Xhosa, and German.
About Me
I am a very outgoing, independent person. I love to travel and to try new things, and am very easy to get along with. I am a somewhat organised person, and am extremely creative. I love to read novels, books about animals, and books detailing the history of different countries around the world. I also love to write, especially fiction writing and poetry. I think that travel is extremely important, and can help give understanding about the world that cannot be gained in any other way.
