ACHIEVEMENTS AND POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY


·         Good knowledge of SDL Trados Studio


o   I achieved 95/100 in the ‘Translator’s Toolbox’ module which required us to create a translation project using SDL Trados Studio.


·         Working at Chales Paris I was often required to complete translations of product descriptions which were used for marketing information and the site.


·         Living and studying in Granada, Spain, attending Spanish classes and completing the summer exams.


o   I learned to live independently in a different country, improving my ability to adapt to a challenging environment and problem solve.


o   My communication skills improved greatly as I not only had to communicate in Spanish with locals but also with other foreign students with different language abilities.


·         Volunteer program in Cambodia working in schools and completing building work in local communities.


o   This was completed with 14 other young people which helped me to develop my teamwork and communicative skills.


·         Fundraising £3500 for a school trip to Peru in 2012 helped me develop my planning and organisational skills to reach a set target.

About Me

I am a 24 year old with a passion for food, languages and travel! I have travelled all over the world and lived in France, Spain and Austria. I studied French and Spanish at University in England and have recently completed a Masters Degree in Translation Studies. I am a really friendly and outgoing person who loves to meet new people. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and rock climbing however I am also keen to rest and read a good book or watch a film from time to time! I am a complete foodie and love cooking as well as eating all different types of food. I like to see myself as a positive person who sees the best in everyone and is ready to adapt to the needs of others when needed.
