My skills
I will be completing my four year degree in Events Management (BA Hons) this June. During this degree I have worked in corporate events in the pharmaceutical industry for a year, have worked doing events for charity and the Google Challenge with Pay Per Click marketing for charity as part of my degree, worked as a personal assistant to a festival manager and volunteered at many other events.
I have worked alongside this in retail for four years working in a clothing store and for one year in a bakery which has a cafe and fast food section.
This summer I have been accepted to work at Disney in an attractions role until mid-August to further my understanding of other cultures, which I would aim to do through any further work here.
As you can see above I am organised, hard working and customer driven with a friendly smile and upbeat attitude. For more about me please read my full CV.

I am currently looking for jobs to support me in my world travel and therefore broaden my horizons and understanding of different cultures. I am currently studying Events Management at Bournemouth University and am looking for work as I plan to travel the word when I graduate. Last year I worked full time in a pharmaceutical company doing events management where I was frequently in the office creating events and organising logistics with managers. I have excellent communication skills and have built strong relationships with customers and employees alike. Furthermore I developed my departments understanding of new computer systems as well as taking on the role of Departmental Records and Information Manager.

Work Experience
As mentioned above I was working in a corporate meetings and events department at Eli Lilly, a pharmaceutical company. Over this time I have managed my own meetings and been an assistant to over 30 in total. I have managed large amounts of attendees, liaised with suppliers, interacted with new systems and technologies and came to have a deeper understanding of this industry. I have received positive feedback for meetings I managed alone and was an assistant on alike. Meeting owners have made comments about my “professional can do attitude” and “excellent interactions with the attendees”. All have remarked that the meetings managed have not been without their challenges but that I have excelled at all put in front of me.
I have also worked at the retail store Matalan part time for four years before my placement at Eli Lilly and am working there currently whilst completing my degree. Through this I have gained skills in customer experience, meeting manager’s expectations with sales and time management between my job there and my studies. As can be seen above I have managed to maintain high grades in my academic studies whilst balancing part time work.
Furthermore I have completed work experience with a business in my local area. During 2013 I worked for a month and a half at an up and coming events company called The Academy. I worked on a music festival showcasing local talent and a sporting event called the Great Barrow Challenge. This is where I first gained office experience and a deeper understanding of event culture.
Previous to this I had a work experience day at Buckingham Palace with the event manager and I learned that private and public events have their differences and I worked at a company called Bid4Bury where I came to understand the planning that goes into a local event. Whilst there I shadowed the events manager and volunteered at the “switching on” of the Christmas lights in my local town centre.
Achievements
I am taking more arts and media units within my third year of my degree and hope to gain experience in a more creative company. Prior to leaving home for university I was a member of the Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal Youth Theatre group for 6 years. I took part in many productions which has greatly assisted in my communication skills, especially public speaking. I am a member of the Alternative Performance Society at university where I have been the producer for a play, sourcing all costumes and props needed for the production and providing direction where needed. This will allow me to find more creative solutions when problem solving in my day to day work and further develop my teamwork skills.

About Me
Outside of working hours I am quite a social, outgoing person who loves to explore new places or spend an evening out with friends or chatting to people. In my spare time I like to watch films from various genres and from both mainstream and more underground cinema. I love music it is one of my passions in life. I listen mostly to many genres of music dependent on mood!
Sometimes I do like to spend some time to myself but mostly I love being around others and am quite content to sit and talk to people.
I am currently looking to travel with my partner who will also be looking for work in the same area as me. He has similar interests to myself and you can find his profile on this site also.
