HELP English Coordinator

As the HELP English Coordinator, you'll lead one of OCN's flagship education projects, planning and delivering engaging English lessons for children at our Recreational and Educational Centre (REC). You'll develop the curriculum, deliver weekly classes, and support and guide a team of volunteers to create a positive and inspiring learning environment. Working closely with the REC Coordinator and Programme Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the project while gaining valuable experience in education, leadership, and NGO operations. As a hands-on role, you'll also have plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in Peruvian culture and improve your Spanish through daily interactions with the local community. The HELP English project only requires a few hours each week, allowing you to spend the rest of your time supporting a variety of OCN initiatives, including English teaching in local schools and libraries, environmental and youth programmes, homework support, girls' educatioMore...n, community improvement projects, and animal welfare. This varied role offers around 25 hours of volunteering per week. Based in the coastal town of Huanchaco, you'll experience life in Peru, meet volunteers from around the world, and make a lasting impact on the lives of local children.
