? Hi! Although most hostels in San Francisco are still closed, Pacific Tradewinds Hostel is still open with the help of amazing volunteers! The hostel is much slower than usual so the vibe is quieter than it usually is. However, you'll still meet some adventurous travelers. All accommodation is in private rooms but hopefully, that will change in the near future. Send us a message and we'll arrange a video call to tell you all the details! ? Due to COVID-19 health regulations, our hostel is not allowed to offer dormitory-style accommodations. As a result, all of our rooms are private at the moment. We only have about 1-5 guests per night staying in the hostel depending on the day. Things are VERY quiet at the moment and calling it a hostel would not be accurate. It's currently a small, socially distanced community of wayward travelers and essential workers visiting the city on a part-time basis. We are looking for 1-2 helpers to help with cleaning and contactless guest iMore...nteraction via our reception system and WhatsApp. This involves: 1. Changing the linens on a bed when there is a checkout and cleaning and sanitizing the room for the next guest. 2. Cleaning and sanitizing the common areas (handrails, kitchen, bathrooms) throughout the day and thoroughly at least once a day. 3. Washing and drying the small amount of laundry we currently generate. 4. Messaging guests with instructions, their self-check-in link, virtual key, etc. 5. Insuring COVID-19 protocols are being followed in common areas (i.e social distancing and mask-wearing) All in all, it's about 1-2 hours of work per day for one person. Less if there are two of you. We are looking for 1-2 responsible travelers who can share a room in exchange for helping in the above ways for about 1-month maximum.
