HELP Youth Coordinator

As the HELP Youth Coordinator, you'll lead OCN's youth development programme, creating fun, engaging activities that encourage confidence, creativity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. You'll plan and deliver the HELP Youth curriculum at our Recreational and Educational Centre (REC), organising weekly sessions that include sports, games, crafts, and workshops while supporting and leading a team of volunteers. Working closely with the REC Coordinator and Programme Manager, you'll gain valuable experience in project management, leadership, education, and NGO operations. As a hands-on role, you'll also have plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in Peruvian culture and improve your Spanish through everyday interactions with the local community. The HELP Youth project only requires a few hours each week, allowing you to spend the rest of your time supporting a variety of OCN initiatives, including English teaching, environmental and literacy programmes, homework support, girls' educMore...ation, community improvement projects, and animal welfare. This varied role offers around 25 hours of volunteering per week. Based in the coastal town of Huanchaco, you'll experience life in Peru, work alongside an international team, and make a lasting impact on the lives of local children.
