About Me

My name is Elsa, I am 20 years old and I am originally from Munich, Germany. I am addicted to travelling and discovering new cultures. In 2011, I participated in a school exchange program with Costa Rica; I had an amazing time there. In September the same year, I left to Vancouver Island, Canada and ended up staying for 2 years. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It taught me so much and helped me grow into the person I am today.
About a year ago, I packed my bags, grabbed my snowboard and went on another adventure; studying in Norway. I came to Oslo totally unprepared and having absoluy no idea what to expect. Since then, I slowly got used to the Norwegian lifestyle. I won’t lie; it has not been easy on me. Everything is so different. Growing up is hard enough, doing that away from home in a country where you don’t speak the language makes it twice as hard. Recently, I moved in with my boyfriend. We live in a small student housing apartment, it is not much but it works- we definiy made the best out of it. In my free time, I love to play basketball or go snowboarding. Occasionally I go out for coffee with friends or I simply take my camera and go out for walks.
Photography has been a huge part of my life since a very young age. We used to have a dark room in our basement where I spent a lot of time with my mom. Right now I use an old Voigtländer camera and a Pentax k50 for my blog pictures.
About six months ago, I started working at a kindergarten and so far it has been truly amazing. I love working with kids and being around them; they have such a positive energy.
I recently started my first blog ever: ! I mainly write about my life in Oslo; I might start a Travel Edition soon, sharing my experiences and pictures from my recent travels. The reason why I started the blog is because I wanted to improve my writing, but also learn how to create my own site. So far it has been a huge journey; I am learning everyday and my head is full of ideas that I can't wait to write down. Feel free to check it out 🙂
