My passion for writing and playing with text and language plays out in different fields. As graduate of a BA in English language and culture and an MA in Creative Writing, I am fluent in English and Dutch, and a keen reader and grammar addict. Often I share a job with my textpartner Maarten. We have our own specialties, but gladly work and brainstorm together.
I am available to work as copywriter, blogger, journalist, (ghost)writer, translator (Eng - Dutch & Dutch - Eng), proofreader and editor.
I've yet worked with The Specimen, Schwandt Infographics, Green Passion, Style Has No Size, VUmc, and for various independent magazines and companies (law, energy and sales). I work with Gulden Bodem Arnhem and Smokin Barrel Amsterdam. Furthermore I also write travel blogs (in Dutch) for Soft Sandy Beaches(.com) and in English for TwentySomeTraveller. Responsibilities: Varying from answering e-mails on questions about reimbursements to changing insurance packages within various computer systems.
Achievements: I’ve learned to use basic communication (B1) to create understandable and customer friendly e-mails, to make it as easy as possible for customers to take care of their health insurance. Moreover I learned to use various computer systems.
Skills: Communicating, responding professionally to angry e-mails, using a customer friendly type of language.

About Me
Hi!
I want to write and to create. In addition to writing I enjoy planning (parties, gatherings, holidays), travelling (Thailand, The UK, Canada, Portugal, to name a few), modelling (I'm currently signed with Linda Models in the Netherlands), cooking/baking (my specialties are pastries & salads), reading (Philip Pullman, Margaret Atwood and Haruki Marukami are among my favourite authors) and sunny picnics. I love bringing people together. I might come across shy but I love good conversations and am very social.
I studied in the UK for a year and have always had an enormous travel bug in my life. I LOVE getting to know different places, people and learning to adapt to different situations. I think traveling is the best way of developing character, and learning more about yourself and others around you. I am a very sensible person, love helping out, listening and trying to fix problems, and find it important to be good to the environment. Combining work and travel would make me a very happy person.
I am not afraid of some hard work and in the past I've done some Wwoofing in Portugal where I painted houses, weeded and tended to grape plants at a winery. I am good with text, social media, communication, editorial work and translating (Dutch-Eng) too. I can cook pretty nicely. Animals like me.
