Education

2012- 2015 Cardiff University
BSc Medical Pharmacology.

Employment
2015 Cavendish School of English
My role as front office receptionist for the school included organising bookings and travel arrangements for students and staff. To liaise between host families and the school. In addition I was responsible for cash handlings and bookings for exertions, house visits to host families, and student accommodation arrangements. I really enjoyed the opportunity to gain experience in such a diverse role. I particularly loved the opportunity to meet and work with group leaders and teachers from other countries and relished working within a large team.
2013 Captain’s Club Ho
I gained further experience waitressing, within a fine dining restaurant. I was also trained in table service which I really enjoyed as I was able to contribute more towards customer service and satisfaction.
2010-2013 The Moon in the Square Pub, Bournemouth
This job included working on the tills, behind the bar, taking food orders, waitressing, and liaising in the kitchen. Once I had gained more experience, I was able to lead a team of bar staff, closing the bar down in the evening and generally ensuring the smooth running of operations. I loved working as part of a team and enjoyed delivering high levels of customer care.
2009 NEXT, Bournemouth
My position as a sales assistant involved working during three of their biggest sales and I was quickly trained to handle tills and customer queries. I enjoyed being part of the sales team and providing customers with all the help and enthusiasm I could.

Other Experience
2014-2015 Lewis Manning Hospice
My role as a volunteer at the hospice was to run art groups for patients and provide support during the carer’s group meetings.
2012 Malawi Volunteer Organisation, Malawi
For 5 weeks I was a medical volunteer for the MVO. I was responsible for running the wound clinic and home-based care which supported many rural villages. Another role of mine was educating both adults and children about relevant medical care. This was a new challenge but it provided me with the confidence to teach again in the future. Also I was lucky enough to shadow the doctors at the hospital and gained further experience in the maternity unit.
2012 Starfish Volunteers, Thailand
I built a home on the Burmese-Thailand border and looked after children in an orphanage for 10 days, which I found hugely rewarding despite the physical demands.
2011-2012 Macmillian Cancer Care Unit, Christchurch Hospital
For a year I volunteered at the Macmillian unit, my job was to provide the patients with their meals and drinks and company if they wished it.
