Prior to the above I worked in a of companies within Computer Operations & IT roles since leaving college in 1979.
About Me
Hi There, My name is Paul a healthy and motivated 57 year old, I am on sabbatical for a year or so and keen to help out and learn new skills and give something back to the environment and nature, over the years I have worked in the Information and ecommunications industries and with Artists, Designers, Musicians and Health Therapists supporting and helping with their business’s. I also have project management skills and have worked with builders.
I speak a little French but love to communicate with all nationalities and cultures; I enjoy sharing stories and experiences with everyone and anybody who wants to share. I feel very comfortable with and around all nationalities as well as animals and I ride a little. At different times in my life I have picked grapes for Champagne in Epernay France, Milked cows on a large dairy farm and picked Nashi Pears in New Zealand. I am very interested in learning about new cultures and new ways to "give something back" in return I offer my help, I volunteered in India where I worked on a reforestation project in Tamil Nadu, helping to establish a forest on previously dessert land as well as helping the local population to integrate their traditional skills in replanting the forest, a truly life changing experience. I have returned from India and trained as a Life Coach, I have been in France working on various ecological projects, I have also qualified as a TEFL teacher, and Teach Spanish Business Executives Business English on-line. I was recently in Burkina Faso. I helped with a small project there, but I was limited by my French language skills, I realised that it was perhaps better to offer my help to English speaking Africans. I have always liked working with youngsters and I helped in a after school club in the UK and helped Autistic children face some of their everyday challenges and although hard work, I found it very rewarding and managed to connect with some of the children in a very positive way. I am now in Ghana working with children with learning difficulties as part of a youth advocacy program in Accra.
Update October 2015
After returning from West Africa at the end of 2012, i am now departing from the UK to Southern Brazil to Florianopolis, to start the next adventure, I am looking for project to work on I have experience of teaching English and Public speaking, and intend to learn Brazilian Portuguese whilst in Brazil,. I am well traveled and love sharing stories with different cultures, I am open and friendly and work hard too!, I arrive in early December and I will be available in Early 2016, please me if you think my Profile matches your requirements
