My skills

I am currently working as a receptionist for the multinational company CWF (Children Worldwide Fashion) until the end of the summer. I have been working on markets with my parents and for other merchants as well since my youngest age. This early working experience gave me strong customer relation skills and great work values. Right after graduating from high school I moved for a year to Atlanta (GA) to work as an au pair in a family, it was a wonderful experience that allowed me to grow as a person and gave me confidence and independence. Later on, I have been doing several student jobs, teaching me how to be flexible and adapt to new working teams and conditions very fast.

Full CV / Resume

I am freshly graduated from a Bachelor degree in English language, literature and civilization with a specialization in translation from the Université de Nantes (France). I am currently taking a gap year before starting a Master degree in translation/interpretation in order to travel and also use the skills I acquired through all the different jobs I have done.

Since my youngest age, I have been helping my parents sell vegetables and flower of their production on markets. After a while I also started working with other merchants on those markets. This early work experience gave me strong customer relationship skills and a sense of service as well as great work values.
After graduating from a Literary Baccalauréat in High School I decided to move to Atlanta (GA) to work as an au pair for a year in an Moroccan/American family. I was taking care of two kids (5 and 7 at the time) and it was a truly wonderful experience that allowed me to gain so much in maturity and confidence.
Back in France, I entered the Université de Nantes to begin my Bachelor Degree in English (LLCE - Langue, Littérature et Civilisation Etrangère en langue Anglaise). During my studies I had the opportunity to do a semester abroad at Hendrix College (AR) via the exchange program ISEP Study Abroad. I also did a of different student jobs during these three years at university, from factory work to call center agent, which taught me to be flexible and to adapt to new working teams and conditions fast and easily.
I am now graduated and working as a receptionist in the multinational company CWF (Children Worldwide Fashion) until the end of August.

About Me

I am 22-year-old French girl who is eager to discover the world and all its different cultures. I am very open-minded and curious. I usually like to walk around and get lost in cities I don't know, easy thing to do as I am quite bad with directions, it allows me to discover places I would have never thought of otherwise.

As a mixed kid from a Ivorian mother and a French father I have always been exposed to different cultures and new people. I guess that's where my openness and curiosity come from. Growing up in a family with mixed cultures also meant being exposed to dialects and languages I did not necessarily understand and made me even more curious about what a language has to convey about the people who speaks it. For these reasons I find translation interestingly challenging as it requires work and research and a certain understanding of the cultures behind the languages.

I would describe myself as easy-going and positive. I tend to see the best in everything. I like going out, dancing, enjoying a drink with good friends but I also enjoy some quiet time at home reading a book, listening to music, watching a movie or stupid videos on the internet. My tastes music and movie wise are quite broad, it all depend on my mood. Going through my computer you would find all genres. I like to try things out, and it applies to what I watch and listen to I guess.

I can't wait for this coming year to meet new people and discover new food, music, places, and the list goes on!
