SEASONAL WORK IN OTTAWA
SPRING
Landscaping starts booming in May. Ottawa has tons of green space and with the icy/snowy winters all the outdoor spaces need lots of care.
SUMMER
Work that is needed by hosts in the summer in Ottawa
AUTUMN
What kinds of work are there in Ottawa in autumn? Maybe it's harvest time, but do people need the help of foreigners for either cheap labour or expertise? This is the kind of thing we need to know here.
WINTER
Not sure if this happens everywhere but around Christmas time it is very easy to get hired for seasonal retail work. These usually don't last past a few months.
ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN OTTAWA
What is the attitude of the locals here? Are we all rich idiot tourists and if so, why on earth would we want to do some work? Or are we seen as western supremacists and viewed with suspicion? Let us know your thoughts and update them here.
