ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN CHISINAU

Moldavian people are very open and hospitable ones, they always will help you, answer and show the way, if, of course, they will understand you. Most of people here speak or at least understand about 2-3 languages ( mostly it's Romanian and Russian, also some languages of minorities, as Gagauz, Bulgarian, Ukranian, but a lot of youngsters do know well English and French). It's really big part of Moldavian tradition to make your guest feel comfortable, almost like at home, to feed him with best meals, even if the family is poor and to give something on to go.
