SEASONAL WORK IN KIEV

SPRING

What kinds of work are available in the spring time in Kiev. Remember to keep work that is all year round in the section above and not mention it again here.

SUMMER

Summer is time for school holidays. Since children in Ukraine have holidays all three summer months you can easily find a project and help in work with orphans, children with special needs or just volunteer to teach something you are gifted to. Volunteers are needed for summer camps to teach English, for some sport and outdoor activities

AUTUMN

Autumn is harvest time in Ukraine. You can find a lot of local farmers selling different kind of fruits and vegetables on local markets, in subway and even on benches in home yards. Most of street vendors outside of markets especially in subway are illegal but all the food they supply are of good quality. Old women in busy places make their business selling boiled corn or hot ‘pirozhki’ (kind of bakery).

WINTER

It's hard to find good place for skiing in Kiev. We have one ski complex called Protasov Yar but there are only several slopes and if you are a good skier you'll become bored soon there.

There is also one more skiing complex in 15 km from Kiev, called Vyshgora, it is a better one but still too little for good skiers.

ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN KIEV

Ukrainians - a very hospitable nation . So the attitude towards foreigners is friendly. No one will refuse to help you.
But the language barrier may cause some troubles due to the fact, that the older generation barely speaks English.
