PolinaDec 4 201710.00 pointsWe (me and my friend) had a TOTALLY AMAZING MONTH IN ROMANIA! These people here are sooo good, pleasant and caring, we had not too much of work (5 hours per day 5 days at week) and lived in nice house of Spivak (and this is not the name of traditional house, as was in translated by somewho-very-russian description of volunteering), all food was provided, also we enjoyed the company of our kind hosts in the freetime, we had a shedule on the wall, all changes in the work was agreed, we had enough time to work and travel, on the weekends we have visited some famous places and it was very inspiring. So, if you'll stay, you'll have to do some real work and help Penny and Dunkan, but if you are same as them, caring, helping and opened to the conversations - IMHO you will have best volunteering in your life. So come, work here and enjoy true English hospitality in the Romanian middle-of-nowhere 😉 Also I have a special thanks to Penny! She is really sweet and powerful person, I found a huge support and a great friend where I didn't even think I could. I'm proud to know her. And Dunkan is creative, forever-young man, always have a plan to every situation, never surrends and had a lot of active energy inside him. Huge thanks too for everything! So I was totally happy because of all their kindness. I will never forget this month. Complete Review

AmandaOct 25 201510.00 pointsI stayed in Breb for a month and it was a wonderful experience. The work is very fair 5 hours a day, five days a week. I did many things but my primary job was fruit picking. Besides that, I painted pipes, minor construction work, cleared out an old house and cleaned. I learned new skills and was giving a chance to do many things that I never have done. You are fed three good meals a day and endless tea and are only expected to work those five hours. No more. Breb is very remote but very beautiful. The Spivak is very comfortable and has all that you need including internet. I spent many of nights drinking beer and enjoying chats with interesting people. Duncan and Penny are very clear of what the work is and helpful. I would recommend this volunteer job to anyone. Complete Review

RobinJul 19 201510.00 pointsI spent around two weeks working at the Village Hotel. The work was varied, and the hours were fair and regular. My tasks comprised finishing and painting a stone barbecue/outdoor fireplace, and sanding and varnishing kitchen fittings. I worked from 8am til 1pm, Monday to Friday, with the rest of the time free. The accommodation was comfortable, and I had my own room. The food available was good and plentiful, and included lots of local produce. I also had access to a washing machine and wifi. The landscape around is extremely picturesque and is great to explore during time off. Complete Review
