WORK IN SACRAMENTO ALL YEAR ROUND

Sacramento is a beautiful and charming city an hour and a half away from the bustling San Francisco. As the capitol of California, it boasts rich history and culture that can be seen throughout the various neighborhoods of the city. From Old Down, to Downtown, to Midtown, and the exciting 'Lavender District,' you can't go wrong. With the Sacramento International Airport just a short drive away, it can be easily accessed by international travelers hoping to ease their way into the California Lifestyle without being dropped into the craziness of San Francisco or the psyche Los Angeles high-life.
Sacramento is a growing city with more and more life being brought to it. There is a new stadium being built for the Sacramento Kings basketball team and with it has sparked higher amounts and newer businesses to pop up. I've found that one of the easier jobs to find, regardless of the season, is as a dishwasher. Every restaurant needs them and, depending on how hard you work, can graduate to a serving position. Some restaurants will even tip their bussers/ dishwashers which is nice because it means you'll always be leaving with cash in your pocket. It also gives incentive to work harder (the harder you work = happier customers = better tips = more $).

AUTUMN

About 45 minutes outside of Sacramento is a charming area known as Apple Hill. During the fall, the orchards need energetic people to pick fruit, and help out with various other jobs on the grounds, including: bakers, apple pickers, tour guides, ranch hands, receptionists, etc. Also, this time is when new students begin attending the local university so make sure to apply early and look for jobs that cater to other young people. While you're there, take in the breathtaking beauty of the rolling hills and the fresh air- and don't forget to grab yourself a caramel apple or some fresh local apple butter!
