SEASONAL WORK IN VENTURA

SPRING

REI and assuming any other retail part time gigs will hire seasonal. Especially right before their big sales (March and May)

SUMMER

Jamba Juice has a high turn over rate with kids graduating and leaving for college. This and Starbucks will most definitely be looking for team members right before summer hits.

AUTUMN

What kinds of work are there in Ventura in autumn? Maybe it's harvest time, but do people need the help of foreigners for either cheap labour or expertise? This is the kind of thing we need to know here.

WINTER

Skiing in Ventura - does it exist? Is there plenty of opportunities for people to get work in Ventura in the winter? What kind of skills are needed at this time of year? ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN VENTURA

Ventura has a very high prestige in the surf community. Many locals swarm beautiful breaks all looking to catch the next good left. Overall, the setting is very laid back, homie, and open minded. If you plan on doing nothing this is the spot to hit. Otherwise "touristy" locations would be further south towards San Diego or up North in Santa Barbara.
