Florida is a seasonal place with most work being based in the south of the state. Hospitality work is needed such as bar tending, serving, hotel experience etc. Marinas can occasionally be helpful. There is a lot of wealth in Florida, so any estate or household services are handy. Landscaping services are also needed in Florida.

SEASONAL WORK IN FLORIDA

SPRING

This is one of the busier times of the year seeing that spring break is happening. Head to the hot spots on the beach, there is normally work around, lots of concerts as well where possible work may be needed. Hotels will be extremely busy, as tourism increases. Many of these will have seasonal positions (near the beach!).

SUMMER

Work that is needed by hosts in the summer in Florida

AUTUMN

Work in Autumn is the common work you would see anywhere you go around the state. The need for lawn keepers and gardeners is what most people want. There is also a continuous need for bartenders, servers, lifeguards, etc. because the students who were working in the summer are back in school.

WINTER

The work that is usually requested around this time is more outside then inside. They really look for people to work on the lawns and keep the grounds clean. They also look for people to clean the houses and watch over the kids. There is always a need for bartenders and servers as well. Hospitality is also big over the holiday with malls and theme parks always looking for workers for few month stint.

ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN FLORIDA

Everyone in Florida is used to people from out-of-state. Florida is known for it's tourism, and both tourists and foreigners looking for work here are welcome.
