There is only snow on Maunakea on the big island and its not enough for skiing. Winter is very busy for tourists, December-Feburary, anything from leading tours driving tour busses, working in a restaurant, or hostel there will be work.

There is no negative attitude towards foreigner working in honolulu. there is negative attitudes towards "outsiders" who are disrespectful to the lands and culture of the hawaiian people. As long as you are a decent human being and are respectful and don't liter there will be no negative attitudes towards you.
