Working at water mill in Western France

“Moulin2Roues” is a B&B and hostel situated in the picturesque French commune Artannes-sur-Thouet, in western France. The area is very popular with tourists generally but particularly so with cycling visitors who are travelling on the cycle routes that pass the end of the driveway. “Moulin2Roues” is a Water Mill on the River Thouet which has retained both of its 2 wheels and much of the drive mechanisms.  The hosts live and  work at the Mill and offer you the opportunity to join their team to assist with the running of the business and the renovation of the Mill itself. The hosts are an English family, who have lived in the area for more than 10 years. Their Mill is over 200 years old and they are conducting research to shed some light on its history. You can imagine how enthusiastic this family is to bring it back to life. That’s why they are looking for an enthusiastic team of helpers to bring their ideas to fruition.  They would accept any kind of assistance, but would love to hear from carpenters, roofers, plumbers, electricians and welders. Being a B&B/hostel, helpers could find themselves in a spare guest room, bunk room or even a tent, depending on availability. You will be provided with breakfast lunch and dinner on days worked – don’t expect to eat foie gras every day, but you won’t go hungry.
